6 Pack | Laura Berens
Motivation is key, especially when it comes to fitness. You have to set the bar high in order to elevate your performance and gains. For Laura Berens, the bar was set when she decided she wanted to have a sexy set of abs. From there her achievements only went up!
“Back in 2012, I decided I wanted to finally get those six pack abs I always wanted so I decided to train with a bodybuilder. This led me to start competing in bodybuilding competitions which in turn led me to start my own business coaching individuals on fitness and nutrition.” -Laura Berens
In 2012 Laura began to make changes to her life in order to reach a simple fitness goal of achieving a six pack. Little did she know, that decision was something that would completely change her life.
The first step to achieving her goal was to find a good trainer. She started working out with a professional bodybuilder; and low and behold, that six pack she was going for came to be. But, that wasn’t the end of the journey for Laura. Inspired by the results she saw as her body transformed, Laura wanted to take it to the next level. Why stop a a nice set of abs when you can create a competition worthy body? And that’s exactly what she did.
“Training for my first competition was super hard. The diet was very restrictive and the workouts were hard. I knew I had a goal in mind and I had to achieve it and that’s really how I made it through,” Laura exclaims!
Laura went on to compete in several competitions, but eventually her competition days came to an end. Not because she couldn’t continue on with bodybuilding competitions, but because she found new ways of expanding her verizon. Thats when she decided to start up her own business as a healthy and fitness coach. She used her own previous experience and further educated herself for the benefit of others. She has helped to transform the lives of many by helping them to set and reach goals of their own.
While Laura has went on to do many great things for others, she never forgets to watch her own personal progress. “To see the progress I’ve made with my diet and fitness is truly amazing,” Laura shares with me. “I look back at journals of the foods I used to eat and it was so bad and unhealthy. I’m so happy I took that leap into fitness,” Laura continues.
Beyond her progress in fitness, Laura has also expanded her business as well. Her client base has continued to grow over time and the impact she has had on others is outstanding! Not to mention, she also launched her own activewear collection geared towards moms called Love and Fit!
Laura’s drive and motivation has lead her to place that she never even knew she could reach. Her willingness to become better had given her opportunity that she never even thought to shoot for in the past. This goes to show that once you take the first step, there’s no limit to the heights to will reach.
