With so many variations, new pieces of equipment and a wide array of trendy studio classes, it can feel super overwhelming trying to determine what will yield the best results. Focusing on the big lifts that recruit muscles all over your body – back squats, deadlifts, bench presses, overhead presses, pull-ups, chin-ups, etc. – will build strength and transform your body composition. These exercises take thousands and thousands of repetitions to master. By narrowing your focus to just a handful of big movements (instead of trying 47 different variations of squats, for example), you will solidify your form. Better form translates into greater strength and more power over time.
