Conveniently Healthy | Neda Varbanova
It’s funny how one person’s journey can lead them on a path to change the lives of many. For Neda Varbanova, it was her transition from Europe to the United States that drove her to her life purpose of helping people. Currently, Neda works as a health coach and helps educate people on the value of health and drive them to make healthy lifestyle changes. Having the pleasure of conversing with Neda, I learned so much about her mission and what health means to her!
In America, let’s face it, we’re all about convenience. Unfortunately, that has a tremendous impact on our health. Just think of all the rows of canned, boxed, and frozen foods that have taken over the aisles of the grocery store. Many of us choose these things over having the full benefits of eating natural foods and what it really boils down to is the convenience factor.
Convenient or not, Neda expressed that she wasn’t impressed with this “quick meal deal” when she moved to the US. After all, she was accustomed to eating foods made by her mother with fresh ingredients.
“ I was shocked when I moved to America from Europe. The food that people were eating seemed mind blowing. I never heard of a “hot pocket” or “frozen dinners” before. I grew up eating freshly cooked meals by mom using wholesome ingredients so this came as a big shock. I wanted to continue living this way and show people that they can still eat delicious foods that don’t come out from a box,” Neda explains.
And that’s when Neda knew her calling.
“A health coach is someone who guides their clients/community to finding a healthier lifestyle and motivates them throughout their journey to their healthiest.” -Neda Varbanova
With a positive goal in mind, Neda set out to educate people on the importance of health and nutrition. She consults with people on a daily basis and helps them create a plan to build healthy eating habits. Not only does she have face to face clients, but she also wanted to reach a larger audience. That’s when she decided to use an online interface to expand her reach.
Online you’ll find that Neda is popular for her healthy tips and EASY recipes. Did you hear that? Neda has found many ways to make healthy eating easy, and she’s making it more convenient for the American lifestyle.
While a healthy diet is where Neda helps provide a good start for people, creating a total lifestyle change is much more than just the foods that you eat. Neda recognizes the importance of the many different aspects of healthy and encourages others to apply the same tactics they’ve learned when it comes to changing their diet to other areas of their life. When I asked Neda what is means to have a healthy lifestyle, she left me with this…
“In terms of foods, I believe that it is most important to eat a variety of real, wholesome, non-processed foods. However the overall meaning of a healthy lifestyle for me means enjoying life, spending time with family, eating healthy foods, practicing mindfulness, exercising and sleeping well.”
